The peculiarity of the book is that the author, after analyzing some phenomenon, event or custom, ends with a proverb or a joke from oral literature. Interestingness and originality can be found in the chapters on cooperative life, beliefs (fairies, witches, werewolves), and folk tales (Marko Kraljević, The Golden Apple, etc.) enrich this valuable monograph.
