The book Kingdom of Earth and Kingdom of Heaven is a collection of Bandić's works on the folk religion of the Serbs, which were published in the last twenty years. In addition to studies in which the author expresses his views on general concepts such as religion or nation, the book discusses the non-Christian dimension of our national religion: phenomena that are not Christian in form or "spirit" ("National Paganism"), as well as Christian phenomena that the people interpret in a non-Christian way ("National Orthodox Glory"). The main characteristic of this book is the author's desire to see this religion on a transempirical level, to discover its hidden meanings and hidden functions.
