Summary
Igor D. Novikov: The River of Time
In a wonderful overview, Novikov gives us an insight into the nature of time, into the history of the study of time, and into the current state of research into this most fundamental property of nature.
Characters who helped shape our views on time are placed in the context of their era and struggle: from Socrates in Athens to physicists in the former Soviet Union.
The work contains modern theories from the field, such as considering whether we can change the past, the possibility machines, anomalies in the flow of time (in black and white holes) and the possible source of the river of time. This is all described with scientific authority and clarity, although it breaks the brain trying to understand it all.
The RIVERS OF TIME book is clearly written in an engaging style with nice illustrations, which make it accessible to everyone.
