Summary
Boris Gunjević: Everyday Alchemy
"Today, the employment office is looking for new, completely original occupations, real heroes who know how to survive when survival is almost impossible. Today we need new jobs, new professions to survive. We need angels, prophets, saints, sages, troubadours, friends, those who know how to tell stories, knights, alchemists, simple heroes. The difference between classical and the superhero is in the proper understanding of the embodiment of the logos, which would transform the sensuous, the perceptive and the habitual. The embodiment brought a new mode of virtue, so that the classical hero with faith, hope and charity became a knight, a prophet or an angel. None of the aforementioned heroes is a lover of nihilism, self-destruction and death. Created during a "hot and ascetic summer", "in a state of high temperature", this book is a discussion of a theologian with philosophers and a philosopher with theologians, a discussion at once cheerful and vehement, serious, witty and above all original.
