Mark Losonc: Time, Consciousness and Complexity
Temporality in Bergson's and Husserl's Philosophy
Are temporal structures themselves temporal or eternal? Can one decide whether temporality is "subjective" or "objective"? Do the metaphors of flow and flow adequately describe the nature of time? Marko Losonac's book looks for answers to these questions primarily by means of Bergson's and Husserl's philosophy of time, focusing on the way in which temporality is constituted as a self-creative and complex form. It can be said that these are the two authors who contributed the most to the conceptualization of time in the history of philosophy, not only in the quantitative sense, but also in terms of the rigor and creativity of the concepts.
