Editors: Dražen Beraković, Tomislav Blagaić

"From Zbor to the Fair 1909 - 1999." is a monograph published on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Zagreb Fair. The book follows in detail the historical development of this important economic institution from its very beginnings under the name Zagreb Choir until the end of the 20th century.

The book is divided into units that follow the transformation of the fair through different political and economic systems:

The Age of the Zagreb Choir (1909): Foundation of a society with the aim of promoting trade, crafts and industry in Zagreb. The first exhibitions were held in the area of today's Student Center in Savska cesta.

Interwar development and rise: The period in which the fair became a key place of international exchange and modernization, recognizable by the rich production of art posters and the advanced architecture of the exhibition pavilions.

Moving across the Sava (1956): Upheaval in the history of the fair under the leadership of mayor Večeslav Holjevac. Construction of a new, modern complex in Novi Zagreb, which is named Zagreb Fair.

Golden age and end of the century (until 1999): Positioning of the Fair as one of the largest fairgrounds in Europe and a bridge between East and West during the Cold War, ending with operations in the independent Republic of Croatia.
