Ivo Andrić (1892. - 1975.) bio je jugoslavenski pisac, pjesnik, esejist, romanopisac i diplomat, dobitnik Nobelove nagrade za književnost 1961. godine. Njegova najpoznatija djela, među kojima se izdvajaju romani "Na Drini ćuprija", "Travnička hronika" i "Prokleta avlija", istražuju povijest Bosne i Hercegovine kroz bogate pripovijesti i duboke karakterizacije.
