The collection contains the works of eighty-three scientists from eighteen countries on the occasion of the 70th birthday of Emilio Marin, the first professor emeritus of the Croatian Catholic University and titular full-time professor with a permanent title at the University of Split. The collection was edited by Mario Kevo, Ivan Majnarić and Suzana Obrovac Lipar. The forewords were written by Željko Tanjić, rector of the Croatian Catholic University, and Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, president of the Pontifical Council for Culture and the Pontifical Commission for Sacred Archaeology, and the Afterword by academician Nicolas Grimal, permanent secretary of the Department of Humanities of the French Academy of Sciences and Arts (Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres, Institut de France).
