*Excerpt from the library.
In interwar Croatia, alongside the political movement, the struggle for its own culture and identity was equally waged. Namely, in the context of the general "nationalization of society" in Europe after the First World War, the language of national ideology became an international symbol of recognition, and "cultural individuality" a political weapon. For small nations without their own state (like Croatia), culture was often the only way to express their own identity. In this research, an attempt was made to show how cultural nationalism manifested itself in Croatia and how it influenced the formation of its national and social identity.
