The book Man in the Light of Transcendence - the Supernatural Determination of the Human Being in the philosophy of Maurice Blondel, is the result of many years of reflection on the natural and supernatural dimensions of man, especially his "supernatural determination" that comes to the fore in various ways and in various forms during his existence in the world. It is actually about human thirst, the "need" for the "supernatural", the transcendent, about something else that man does not find in himself, naturally; about the origin and causes of such a "need" permanently present in man; about the inadequacy and incompleteness of the human being and finally, about the belief in the possibility of filling this "void" and the final completion of the human being in connection with a supernatural, transcendent, absolutely perfect Being, the "only necessary" and unconditionally eternal Cause of everything that arises and disappears in time, the Foundation on which everything rests and everything happens, the highest Mind that arranges everything and makes it be, with the Thought of Thought that gives everything meaning.
Since French philosopher Maurice Blondel was particularly concerned with this issue, we decided to look for answers to all these questions in his works. At the same time, of course, we did not neglect other authors who distinguished themselves in the study of this mysterious reality, entering into scientific philosophical and theological debates, in order to fully consider this problem and scientifically solve it within the limits of our capabilities. to encourage them to study it systematically and critically in relation to natural reality.
