Summary
Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali: The Inconsistency of Philosophers
The conflict between faith and knowledge refers only to the details that are added to those two basic principles, two themes that always appear in the teachings of all prophets, i.e. persons who are God's chosen ones, and whose truthfulness of mission is evident through the miracles they performed. Only a few people with irresponsible views and perverse minds denied these principles, but in serious conversation such people cannot be given any importance, nor should they be taken into account in any way. They would also have to be branded as devilishly eccentric and stupidly stubborn, so that their example would dissuade people who are inclined to think that a vain conversion to an unoriginal heresy indicates intelligence and common sense.
