Summary
Aristotle: On the birth of animals
Modern physiology of fertilization is a continuation and development of Aristotle's insights, and he certainly deserves an immortal place in the conceptual and problematic formation of these sciences. Reading modern physiology in an Aristotelian key is interesting and challenging, because we see the same problems as in Aristotle, but now "put aside". Aristotle may seem naive or harsh in his solutions, but he is never like that in his questions.
