Summary
Gilles Deleuze: Moving Images
This study is not about the history of film. Namely, it represents a taxonomy, an attempt to classify images and signs. However, this first volume should be satisfied with determining the elements and the elements of only one part of the classification. We often refer to the American logician Pers, because he established a general classification of images and signs, probably the most complete and richest. It is a classification like Linnaeus in natural history, or better still, like Mendelian tables in chemistry. The film imposes new views on this problem.
