From the 14th to the 18th century
Today, Eastern Europe is in a much more favorable position than Western Europe was in the 15th and 16th centuries. Even though it now lives in a "siege" state, as the West lived during the mentioned period, its external and internal enemies are not nearly as numerous and elusive, and this cannot be attributed to the imperfection of its taxonomy, nor are the troubles that time brings with it so cruel and frequent. As far as her "taxonomy of enemies" is concerned, in just over half a century since the victory of the first socialist revolution, she managed to strictly and consistently distinguish and classify all the universal and special enemies of socialism, while the Catholic casuistry of that time got more and more lost and entangled in its speculations, so that in the end it had to admit its impotence.
