Magazine "Krugovi" no. 7/1954. the volume is from the second half of the third year of publication of this influential Croatian monthly for literature and culture. Published under the auspices of the publishing house Mladost, this issue was created during the period when the editor-in-chief was the writer Josip Barković, while the role of editor-in-chief was held by Vlatko Pavletić. The volume continues the continuity of the affirmation of modernist currents through the summer months of 1954, bringing a distinctive mix of contemporary domestic poetry and prose by young authors, critical reviews and translations of significant foreign authors who helped open the domestic cultural scene towards Western European literary trends and aesthetic pluralism.
