Summary
Franjo Šanjek: Bosnia - Hum Christians in historical sources (13th - 15th centuries)
This scientific work of the highest level provides the reader with a completely different picture of medieval Bosnia and Hum than the one that has permeated our knowledge and literature so far. From this study, it can be read that, for example, Latin sources imputed heresy and dualism of teaching to Bosnian Christians. However, by analyzing the Bosnian springs themselves, it is impossible to detect any elements of heresy and blasphemy. They can only be criticized for their pessimistic view of the world, which is a reflection of the time in which they appeared, and for structuring their own church community independently of Rome. The Christians of Bosnia and Herzegovina were laymen who, in the materialized Middle Ages, advocated a return to the original unity of the Early Church and the ideal of the first Christians.
