Luka Roženić: Historiae Regni Hungariae II
Roženić, Luka (Jakov), Croatian historian (Filež, German Nikitsch, Gradišće, Austria, 20. III. 1784 – Mosonszentjános, Hungary, 28. VII. 1835). Benedictine. Year In 1803 he completed his studies at the theological seminary in Pannonhalma, and in 1805 he obtained his doctorate in philosophy in Pest. From 1813 he was a professor of philosophy, and from 1814–17. of general and Hungarian history in Győr. He then taught in 1817–30. Hungarian and general history at the Law Academy in Požun (Bratislava). He wrote several historical works in Latin, the most famous of which are: General introduction to historical sciences... (Summaria introductio in historiarum studium..., 1827) and Overview of the history of the kingdom of Hungary... (Historiae regni Hungariae compendium..., I–II, 1828–29).
