Krešimir Regan and Tomislav Kaniški: Croatian historical atlas

Croatian historical atlas contains 250 maps and a text in which a summary of prehistoric and historical periods up to the early Middle Ages and Croatian history is given, tracing it up to the middle of the 16th century according to the regional division, and from the middle of the 16th century as a whole with the dividing year 1918.

For a better understanding of economic and cultural development of the Croatian space during historical periods and its connection with the wider, European space, behind each historical period there is also a shorter summary of economic and cultural development. Historically and demographically, almost all areas where Croats live today as a majority or minority nation are located here, but also all areas that in the past were part of Croatia or belonged to one of the historical Croatian countries. The atlas contains two types of historical maps, political and thematic, as well as graphic contributions, which are arranged chronologically.
