Summary
Slavko Grubišić: Over the Abyss of Hell: A Testimony of Communist Crimes
"Over the Abyss of Hell is a poignant romanticized autobiography in which Slavko Grubišić, through his own suffering and torture from boyhood to his later years, experiences and perceives all the cruelty of the Yugoslav regime and its servants, their neighbors, who carry out terror against their own people in order to maintain their wretched position as president of the village.
The writer has no the intention to interpret history, already through his own suffering, and with an abundance of photographs, documents and data, to point out in an argumentative way the astonishing crimes committed by those who for five decades dispensed justice to the occupied nations.
The main protagonist and author of the book encounters adversity throughout almost his entire life, starting from his childhood when he was mercilessly tortured by the partisans as a ten-year-old, until his mature years when he was abused by the Udbini in emigration mercenaries.”
