Extermination as complete and merciless destruction, extermination, uprooting and annihilation, is the most accurate term for naming the policy that the Ustasha Independent State of Croatia implemented towards the Serbs as a people in the four years of its existence. The term is almost synonymous with the Holocaust of the Jews in the Third Reich and the Quisling European states, and in terms of cruelty and systematicity it is equaled only by the genocide of the Roma. Thus, with these three terms, we name the same fate of the three peoples that, as non-Aryans, the racist Nazi-fascist ideology intended for them, and to a large extent achieved, in the thirties and early forties of the XX. century. The complete book about the organized forced emigration of Serbs from NDH has not yet been written. I hope that with this work I will contribute to a better understanding of mechanisms that are so historically repetitive that they extend to our modern times."
