Summary
It is a complete, so far unresearched and unwritten history of the Catholic Church in Croatia in the 20th century, with an emphasis on the national-political engagement of the Church - mainly in the second half of the 20th century, during its existence, and then disintegration, SFR Yugoslavia. The book is very richly produced and equipped, it has 810 pages and 250-300 photographs, which are carefully coordinated with the text, and the special attraction of the book is two large graphic displays that can be unfolded, which show the (otherwise very complex) structure of the jubilee project "Thirteen Centuries of Christianity in Croats". In the book, author Darko Hudelist demonstrates his unique research method, which he calls "integral history" or "integral historiography". He follows events and processes, in the time span from the beginning of the 20th century, and even before, to the early nineties, on three separate, yet interconnected levels.
