Summary
Slobodan Bjelica: Disputes around the autonomy of Vojvodina book 1. 1961-1974
Four decades have passed since the adoption of the Constitution of 1974, about which so little is known and so much debated. Was 1974 the year that began the decline of the Yugoslav federation or was it the beginning of the "golden age" of autonomous Vojvodina? Was the division related to autonomy, which arose within the Vojvodina party organization during the constitutional reform, a factional conflict common to communists, or did its roots go back to November 1918? Were not those who called themselves defenders of autonomy actually defending their government, and those who attacked that government actually wanted to abolish autonomy? Where did the autonomy of Vojvodina come from? These are all questions that are often used and sometimes abused in our public life. This book answers those questions.
