Marina Marković: Communication skills
Professional skills enable people to understand each other, connect, establish relationships, negotiate and act, with mutual respect and respect for diversity. Learning skills, professional, communication, technical and other, are a necessary part of modern education for most professions and occupations. A cultural manager should be a well-educated person whose skills are based on a balanced combination of theoretical and universal knowledge, developed communication skills and personal qualities. Therefore, in the pedagogical approach to this subject, three basic principles were set in the creation of the training methodology: an interdisciplinary approach, a harmonious relationship between theory and practice, and a training system.
Communication is the most important activity in managerial occupations, and communication skills represent a basic managerial ability. In the book, a scheme of communication skills necessary for theoretical and practical acquisition of knowledge in the mentioned field is proposed and processed. The purpose of learning is not to manipulate others, but to apply skills in relation to the high standards and ethical code of the profession. Ethics in management should be reflected in every segment of planning, business, communication and public performance.
The true purpose of this book is to set the highest standards in education and business in culture. The goal of training is not to create typical managers, but insists on developing a personality that possesses key abilities and values such as: culture of speech and dialogue, standards in business, professional and communication skills, code of ethics. Knowledge of communication skills contributes to the development of leadership theory, successful planning at the top management level and planning changes when promoting new ideas, products, projects, etc. Established cultural communication contributes to successful teamwork and minimizing the possibility of conflict. from the review by prof. dr Milena Dragićević Šešić
