Summary
Carl Gustav Jung: Mysterium coniunctions I-II
Investigations on the separation and union of soul opposites in alchemy
Mysterium Coniunctionis is Jung's last major book and offers an exhaustive insight into the conclusions of his alchemical research. It is his discovery, based on empirical evidence, that some of the key problems of modern man are prefigurations of what the alchemists called "art" or "process." Jung remains at the conclusion that the world of alchemical symbols does not belong to the waste of the past and places it in a truly real and vital connection with our most recent discoveries in the field of the psychology of the unconscious.
