Summary
Irvin D. Yalom, Ginny Elkin: Closer Every Day
This is an interesting and unusual book because Yalom co-authored it with Ginny Elkin, one of his clients (of course, this is a fictitious name to protect the real identity of his real client) who described in this book her personal experiences during months of individual psychotherapy. Yalom, a great magician and master of psychotherapy, and his client wrote their personal experiences, impressions, and dilemmas in parallel, from session to session, during several months of individual psychotherapy, thus sharing their weaknesses and strengths. Everyone started the book with their foreword, and ended it with their afterwords, in which they shared with the readers their experiences and the results of this unusual psychotherapy experiment. - Beauty is the truth that Ginny and I experienced. We knew each other, we deeply touched each other and shared incredible moments that are hard to find - wrote Yalom.
