Summary
Carl Gustav Jung: Man and His Symbols
Jung developed his version of psychoanalysis after breaking with Freud, practically for the rest of his life. Since he changed some of the basic terms over time, and that in the corpus of his collected works you can find several confusingly contradictory definitions of the basic ideas, the foundations of Jung's psychology in its final form will be presented here. Also, Jung's psychology is burdened with nomenclatural confusion: the most common term in use is "analytical psychology", sometimes "depth psychology", and often (which is perhaps the most appropriate name) also "archetypal psychology".
