Summary
Nicholas de Lange: Judaism
The book on Judaism briefly interprets the concept of Judaism and its basic determinants, tradition, the Torah as the transmission of all religious knowledge, worship, the law as an expression of unity with love, and the mystical and eschatological tradition. Religious terms are presented etymologically and in a historical context, and always in a comparative sense within religious factions and with other large monotheistic religions that arose over a longer period of time in the Middle East. In particular, the author interpreted the historical sequence in which Judaism developed, especially in the 19th century. century. In the epilogue, he writes about the Judaism of our time, the changes due to the changes of time and the problems of Judaism in the Jewish state.
