Summary
For universal humanism - Towards a more complete humanity
One of the goals of this book, by academician Ivan Supičić, is to show the possibility of compatibility and fruitfulness of the meeting of true, pure and authentic faith in transcendence and enlightened reason, restrained by no prejudices or ideological shackles, and thus religion and science in their highest and purest reaches. Thus, in the first part of the book, in which he particularly deals with man and the world, he illustrates the relevance and enriching value of approaching some special questions from the fields of philosophy and religion, culture and social and political life in a scientific and spiritual perspective. It does this especially with regard to the human person, his spiritual growth and the eternal need for his evaluation. In the second part, it is again about the man himself and about his essential, deep layers in relation to the overworld. The author thus develops a vision of a complete and universal, universal humanism, which he finds in the Gospel, and which would include all people and human values, the whole person, at all levels of his being and life, personal and in the community, regardless of origin, national and social affiliation, worldview and even religion.
