Summary
William S. Burroughs: The Electronic Revolution
«A beautiful body ... A couple in copulation ... Rewind the clip and play it in a magnifier for seven seconds for several minutes ... squealing at different speeds ... The audience must be made to understand that to be a body is to be a body ...«
Writer and visual artist, a beatnik who has almost nothing in common with other beatniks. Unconventional in terms of life, transgressive in his approach to the creative act, he was remembered as a great experimenter in language and art. In literature, he used Dadaist means; the clipping technique that collages together snippets from existing text to create new text and the folding technique of vertical folding and combining.
