Summary

Power/media/&

This collection wants to point out some points on the map of theoretical thinking in the contemporary world, the basic contours of which are outlined today by different and constantly changing sets of mass and/or new media and power. The idea of this collection is to point out the multitude of different, countless and sometimes incomprehensible views on what critical studies of these hybrid sets of media and power imply today. So, some very distant points on this map can be connected in different readings and thus make visible changes within the field of power.

Jelisaveta Blagojević, philosopher and political scientist, is also engaged in the fields of gender studies, queer theory and cultural studies. He deals with the relationship between politics and opinion in the modern world, a world in which everything has become imaginable (suffering, horrors, the end of life on Earth, the dominance of the economy, the absence of humanity), except for the idea of Change - the idea that it can be different. that omnipresent capitalism can be questioned.

Jovan Čekić, philosopher, art theorist and conceptual artist. Under the influence of Deleuze's philosophical thought, he believes that the task of philosophers, artists and scientists is to map events and that the current consistency of the world consists of these overlaps, because a general theory of events is impossible. He sees alternative spaces as reserves within the capitalist machine and calls for experimentation with real spaces as different ways of connecting with the world. It also deals with the problems facing 20th century art, especially in terms of the changes that occurred with the advent of technical reproduction, as well as mapping the shifts in art that herald the replacement of writing culture by screen culture.
