Šime Ljubić: The mirror of Yugoslav literary history I
Mohovich (Mohović), Emidio, Croatian publisher and journalist (Rijeka, 18 July 1838 – Rijeka, 5 March 1898). Together with Carl Huber, in 1863 he founded the Stabilimento Tipo-litografico printing house, the strongest printing house in Rijeka in the 19th century. century, awarded at exhibitions in Trieste (1871), Paris (1878) and Budapest (1883). He started and edited the daily Giornale di Fiume (January–December 1865), which was banned by the police, then started the pro-Hungarian newspaper La Bilancia (1868–1919) and edited it until his death. For that leading Rijeka newspaper, which was sold in Pest, Vienna, Trieste, Hamburg, Berlin and Zurich, he wrote editorials and brought regular reports from the Hungarian and Croatian parliaments. He printed various newspapers and books in Italian and Croatian, among others the work of Š. Ljubića The mirror of the literary history of Yugoslavia (I–II, 1864–69) and the Italian translation of the work Smrt Smailage Čengić I. Mažuranić (Morte di Ismail Čengić-Aga, 1877). After his death, the work was continued by his sons Vito (1865–1903) and Mario (1872–1923).
