Did you know that some world classics such as Plato's State, Jung's work "Man and its symbols", Lewis Mumford's "The City in History" or Raos' Beggars and Sons cannot be bought in bookstores.
Namely, we are talking about titles that were last published here in the 60s, 70s or 80s of the twentieth century.
Therefore, if you want to have masterpieces of world cultural heritage in your library, the antiquarian is the right place for you!

You can find real books in the antiquarian treats. For example, the first editions of capital works of Croatian literature such as Ballad Petrica Kerempuh by Mroslav Krleža or Tales from the past by Ivana Brlić Mažuranić.
There are also books with the author's signature or dedication, as well as old and rare, original editions of Croatian books from the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
Books from antique stores have their own history. By reading them, you can come across the notes of the previous owners and get an insight into their way of thinking, as well as broaden your own view on a certain topic.
What is particularly impressive are the dedications, especially those of love, in which after big, touching words, the books end up in an antique store waiting for some new readers.
Used books are cheaper than new ones. New releases can be quite expensive, which may deter you from reading them. This will certainly not happen with affordable prices for used books.

Given the climate changes happening in the world today, any help in protecting the environment is welcome.
Purchasing used books reduces the number of new editions, which ultimately leads to a reduction in the use of paper, which contributes to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.
Paper, ink and glue - when they break down over time, under the influence of light and heat, they give an attractive smell reminiscent of vanilla!

Many of us like to get "lost" in an antique shop, rummaging through the shelves, carefully researching all the titles on them.
The best moment is that moment of joy when you see the very book you have always wanted to read.
You have searched the entire Internet, but you cannot find the title you have been looking for for a long time? The antique shop is the real solution to that problem.
In other words, you come to us, tell us which book you are looking for and we will inform you when it appears. Nothing easier!
Some books increase in value over the years. Especially when it comes to editions of publishing houses that no longer exist or editions that were once published in limited editions.
We hope that these are good reasons why it is worth visiting antique shops.
Greetings from Biblos! :)
