Summary
Luigi Luca Cavalli: Genes, Peoples and Languages
One of the most famous modern geneticists, the originator of the term archaeogenetics, tries in this book to answer the questions - when and where did we originate, how did human societies spread across the continents, how are human languages and genes related, are racial classifications genetically based? The themes of this book have important implications for deep social problems. Among other things, the author explains why racism is wrong, because we discover the main genetic differences between individuals and not between populations, that is, the so-called race. Genes play an active role in shaping our beings, but the same role is played by the cultural, social and natural environment in which we live.
