In this richly illustrated scientific and popular monograph, the author writes about stećci in general, with a special focus on the lesser-known stećci from the stećci necropolis in Ledinac, Herzegovina.

She talks about the time of the stećci's creation, the way they were made, the tools with which they were made and decorated, the hauling and processing of stone, the masters who carved them, the shapes stećak, folk tales related to stećak. Systematically analyzes the decorations, symbols, signs from the stećak, placing them in a wider cultural-historical and mythological context.
