Summary
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin: The Phenomenon of Man
"Pierre Teilhard de Chardin was a French Jesuit, theologian, philosopher, anthropologist, geologist, paleontologist and essayist. Chardin said that he was strongly attracted by two things, the impersonal world of matter, which we can know with the help of science, and the other, which, thanks to the revealed word of God, we can know with the help of faith. He understood evolution as a process by which the material world grows in spirit: what was once an impersonal world of matter, became reasonable, self-aware like ourselves."
