Summary
Kristian Novak: Gypsy, but the most beautiful
Gypsy, but the most beautiful by Kristian Novak is a strictly genre crime, with an enigma, brutal murders of unknown people - because faceless corpses are difficult to identify - and an investigation, and a nice indication that things should not be looked at strictly, nor judged, because it is a crime as much as a crime and a punishment.
Gypsy is narrated, more precisely told because we mostly read truncated transcripts, as many as four narrators: Milena, a middle-aged returnee to her native Sabolščak, Nuzat, a Kurd from Mosul on the way to Calais, Sandokan called Sandi, a gypsy from Bukovo Dol, and Plančić, PR from the Zagreb Police Department.
