Adolfo Weber: Composition of the Illyrian language, for lower secondary schools
Adolfo Weber, who also signed most of his works with the literary surname (translated) Tkalčević, was born on May 15, 1825 in Bakro. His mother was Bakarka (born Marochini), and his father Josip Weber was an immigrant from Moravia. He completed his primary education in Bakro and high school in Rijeka. After that, he was a seminarian in Zagreb, then a seminary student in Pest (1842-1846). During his studies, he studied foreign languages very diligently, among other things: German, Hungarian, French, Polish. After returning from Pest, he soon became ordained, and then became a chancellor in the office of the bishop of Zagreb...
