Summary
Mahmut Šehić: Secrets of Tibetan medicine
"Tibetan medicine belongs to ancient traditional medical systems and has centuries-old experience in the application of natural remedies. It was widely spread in the countries of Central Asia, in Tibet, in Mongolia, in Russia. In the period since the existence of Tibetan medicine, an extensive literature was created in which the experiences of past generations were carefully preserved, which were supplemented over time with new research and achievements." "Like Ayurvedic literature, the book of Tibetan medicine was not presented to Zhu-shi by the author himself, but by Buddha Shakyamun himself, that is, his medical hypostasis Bhaishajya-guru (Tibetan Sman-bla), who for this purpose immersed himself in observation and emanated from himself the five rishas, which represent his personality from aspects such as language, soul, body, work and dignity. Constantly acting figures throughout the text remain Bhaishaja-guru and the personification of language Manosiji (Tibetan Yid-las-skzes). The Buddha does not participate in the presentation process, he thinks deeply before each tantra. The questions are answered by the other four rishis, who appear from different parts of the Buddha's body and speak one tantra each
