Magazine "Krugovi" no. 1/1954. the volume is from the very beginning of the third year of publication of this revolutionary monthly for literature and culture. Published by the publishing house Mladost, this issue was created under the editorial baton of the writer Josip Barković, while the editorial board included the editor-in-chief Vlatko Pavletić and prominent members of the circle Nikola Milićević and Slobodan Novak. The volume was published in a key period of affirmation of this generation, immediately after the famous Handbook of poetry at the end of the year was printed in the previous holiday issue, with which the members of the circle finally profiled themselves as a recognizable and compact group of poets. Issue 1/1954 itself brings important theoretical and critical articles about the leading authors of that time, among which the critical review devoted to the writing method and prose of Ranko Marinković stands out.
