In Sreten Petrović's book Šeling against Hegel. Schelling's fundamental thought and "soft forms", the question of Schelling's critical attitude towards Hegel's entire philosophy is considered. The controversy between the two German philosophers is presented from the point of view of their different starting points. Schelling sees Hegel's philosophy as purely rational, negative, which perceives Being and God abstractly, in a pure, i.e. lifeless idea, while Schelling searches for God above and beyond the idea beyond the Logos. On this path, Šeling makes his way through the so-called "soft forms" - art, individual mythology and "personal real" God. The return of Schelling's thought in the middle of the 20th century opened the way to existential, positive philosophy.
