Summary
Paul Taylor: The End of European Integration
Paul Taylor's book, "The End of European Integration" - basically presents a critical vision of the European Union - with the open intention to point out the basic factors that generate the current crisis - offering a series of arguments that point to the limitation of internal resources to overcome the current, rather bad situation in the European Union. The author starts from the point of view that the sudden expansion of the Union in the period from 2004 to 2007 brought a whole series of troubles because admission criteria were not respected. Paul Taylor believes that the absence of institutional consolidation, which primarily refers to the failure to adopt a European constitution, can further compromise integration processes in the long term.
