Cyrillic stamp of Đorđe Nikolajević Hadži on the cover. The book is the result of the writer's fifteen-month stay in Bosnia. It consists of five parts: geographical and statistical description; putopis; Koran and customs of the Muslim population; administration; povijesni razvoj osmanlijske vojske. At the same time, the writer points out that the first two parts are the most important. The geographical part is based on the writer's own research, specifically on 500 orographic sketches that he made on the spot, which were the basis for the creation of the map of Bosnia and Herzegovina in four sheets, which was published in 1865. Therefore, that part of the book is actually a kind of interpreter of that map. The second, travelogue part of the book shows the regions that the author himself explored orographically. U četvrtom dijelu knjige, uprava Bosne i Hercegovine opisana ja vrlo detaljno. The writer's discussions about the Koran and the customs of the Muslim population and the historical development of the Ottoman army refer not only to Bosnia, but also to the entire Ottoman Empire. The map attached to the book is less technically produced than the aforementioned author's map from 1865 and contains a lot of errors in geographical names.
