The author systematically investigates British policy towards Yugoslavia, i.e. Croatia after the end of World War II. World War and the beginning of the Cold War based on British diplomatic sources. Special attention is focused on the actions of the British political opposition, above all the Catholic Church, and the leading figures of Yugoslav and Croatian politics. The author also reveals some cultural aspects of the relationship of the British to Croatia, which is definitely perceived as a "western" country
