IVELLIO, Antun (Degl'Ivellio, Iveljo; Antonio), lawyer and politician (Imotski, 15. IX. 1839 — Zadar, 24. II. 1927). Od oko 1869. do 1878. sudbeni pristav u Kotarskom sudu u Cavtatu i 1878–80. in Drniš, and in 1875/76. and assistant reporter in the Financial Administration in Zadar; 1880 district judge in Vrgorac, then judge in Zadar and Split and from 20th century president of the District Court in Dubrovnik. He belonged to the People's Party, was one of the signatories of its program in 1875 and a representative in the Dalmatian Parliament in the curia of the tax collector for the Dubrovnik area in the mandate periods 1870–76 (from 1873) and 1876–83 (until 1880), president of its Land Committee in 1875–80. and from 1876 a member of the National School Council. He had the title of court adviser. — He wrote about unresolved land issues in the Dubrovnik area in 1873 in Narodni list (No. 36) and in a book in which, with particular reference to Konavle, he presented a historical overview of the issue with an analysis of provisions and laws passed since the establishment of Austrian rule. On the occasion of the announcement of a new law on these issues for the Dubrovnik area, in 1876 he sent a letter to the editors of Narodni list (Il Nazionale, no. 9, Pr.), which was also published as an independent brochure (Lettera di Antonio degl'Ivellio ..., Zadar s. a.). He also wrote about legal terminology and the new criminal code for Austria from 1873 (Pravo, 1873–74, 1876–77). His translation into Italian with comments on the presentation of the Austrian Minister of Justice J. Glaser on the provisions of that law was published under the title I motivi del regolamento di procedura penale, attivati in Austria colla legge 23 Maggio 1873 (Zadar 1876).
