Summary

Milivoj Kujundžić, Zdravko Dizdar: Croatian struggle for survival 1918 - 1998.

As part of the extensive material in which the authors covered the Croatian struggle for survival from 1918 to 1998, one part of the book (in this edition, the fourth) is dedicated to the Croatian struggles and hardships in the struggle for survival in defense and liberation from the Great Serbian aggressor from 1990 to 1995, with an indication of the important events from the fall of 1995 to 1998, when the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danube region was completed, and in this third edition, that part has been supplemented the most. The authors explained in detail who and why threatened the survival of the Croats in the 1990s, giving a detailed chronological overview of the defense and armed liberation of the occupied territories from 1990 to 1995. Topics such as the exhumation of Croatian victims of the Great Serbian aggression, human victims in the Homeland War and the suffering of children and the problem of sown mines were also covered. In the Homeland War, healthcare workers also gave a great deal of pain, and the authors also provide a summary of the material losses in Croatia during the war. Some Croatian songs from the period of the war were specially selected and listed, and the authors of the book did not mention the names of the authors of the songs, judging that they were part of their contribution to the struggle for Croatian survival. Historical maps of Croatia are published at the end of the book, including a map of the county structure of Croatia and maps related to the Homeland War.
