Summary
I am writing this preface to my book about the great European dictators under a cloudless sky, under the clear sun that flooded Paris with its light on this festive day.
The Church established the celebration of Easter to give the faithful a short break from the arduous fast. We can hope that the spring of 1938, at the beginning of which we are, will be marked by a respite and relaxation of European tensions and frictions.
Since my book was published, international politics has developed at a rhythm that is characteristic of our age.
Many of the events predicted in this book are already past, the National Socialist government has set itself three main goals. One of them was suddenly realized by the annexation, the joining of Austria to Germany.
