The work Monoregiae ex qua conjictur totius humanae vitae modus, written by Severitan in 1522, is considered the first political work by a Croat. In it, this Šibenik Dominican and theologian, humanist, philosopher and poet, author of numerous literary works, discusses the personality of the ruler, the organization of the state, the city, social and family life, and the behavior of the ruler in war and peace. The author of the introductory study on Severitan's life, work and political ideas is Ph.D. Stjepan Krasic. The book contains a commentary, bibliography and index.
