Words of the publisher:
On the occasion of the great historical moments, which our capital Zagreb experienced on April 28, 29 and 30 this year, on the occasion of the magnificent celebration of the transfer of the bones of the Croatian greats and martyrs Zrinski and Frankopan from Vienna's New Town to Zagreb, not all of our Croatian people could personally participate in those great moments, which are a rarity even for history today, so we have therefore decided, to commemorate that extraordinary celebration of freedom, to give the living as well as the later generations a modern memorial book, in which they will find a detailed description of the transfer of the bones of Zrinski and Frankopan, their last journey from abroad to their homeland, an eternal resting place, as well as special for all time significant photographs of the reception and solemn funeral in Zagreb. This monument, along with a description of the ceremony with significant speeches by ceremonial speakers and pictures, will serve for all time as a living proof of the unbreakable Croatian faith in victory, and the Croatian, Serbian and Slovenian people, of whom these Croatian princes are also great, will also have an iodine document of the Croatian struggle for liberation and unification. the whole action was conducted, so that everyone can get a transparent and clear picture in all details.
We believe that we have also carried out a cultural-historical and above all patriotic mission, so by presenting the monument to the public, we consider it our duty to warn our entire three-name nation: Croats, Serbs and Slovenes.
In Zagreb, May 1919.
