Summary
Đuro Škvorc: The military force of the insurgent Serbs in Banovina 1992 - 1995
It is mostly well documented that the war came about because the Serbian state decided to reach for an imperial solution (all-Serb gathering and/or a Greater Serbian state) in the area of the disintegrating Yugoslav federation (including large parts of Croatia), that for this purpose it mobilized a good part of the Serbian population outside the Republic of Serbia and activated Yugoslav People's Army and that such a strategic direction caused a great humanitarian disaster and huge material destruction.
However, less is known (still) who was the bearer of the all-Serbian imperial project (and of course how it worked) in certain areas of Croatia. One of them is, of course, Banovina, an important strategic area characterized by a higher concentration of the Serbian population and then also a "natural habitat44 of various rebel armed formations. A true encyclopedia of data on the armed forces of the rebel Serbs in the Banovina area (1992-1993) is brought to us by the study of Dr. 1993".
First of all, the author succeeded in two fundamental purposes. This means that he argued that the armed rebellion of the Serbs in the territory of Banovina was an integral part of the overall armed effort of Serbia and that these units also participated in the brutal persecution of the non-Serb population from Banovina.
