Summary
Liz Greene: Jungian Studies in Astrology
This work does not approach psychology through the lens of astrology, nor does it approach astrology through the lens of psychology, although it offers ample material for such considerations. Instead, he traces the various ways in which Jung used astrology - or, as the paper shows, multiple types and streams of astrology - in the construction of his psychology, which, again, paved the way for a psychological interpretation of astrology. There were many gardens of astrology from which Jung drew inspiration, and there were also many uses for which he used them: for understanding himself, for experiments with himself (especially in the context of the relationship of his active imagination to theurgy), as a supplement to practice, in understanding symbolism and hermeneutics, up to the study of astrology in his later works.
